Studio Setup Beginner

The Synthesia Studio is a browser-based video editor designed specifically for AI avatar content. It feels familiar if you have used presentation tools like PowerPoint, with a scene-based timeline, drag-and-drop elements, and a live preview of your avatar.

Creating Your First Video

  1. Start a new video

Click "Create Video" from the dashboard. Choose landscape (16:9), portrait (9:16), or square (1:1) format.

  2. Select an avatar

Browse stock avatars by category or search by name. Click to place the avatar on your scene canvas.

  3. Write your script

Type in the script panel on the right. The avatar will speak this text. Choose a voice from the dropdown.

  4. Add visuals

Drag in text boxes, images, shapes, screen recordings, or icons to complement the avatar.

  5. Preview and render

Click Preview to hear the voice. When satisfied, click Generate to render the final video.

Scene Management

Videos are organized as sequences of scenes. Each scene can have different backgrounds, avatar positions, and visual elements. Use the scene timeline at the bottom to add, reorder, duplicate, or delete scenes.
