Getting Started with Prezi

Create your account, explore the Prezi interface, build your first AI-generated presentation, and understand the zoom structure that makes Prezi unique.

Creating Your Account

1. Visit prezi.com and click Get started
2. Sign up with email, Google, Facebook, or Apple account
3. Choose your plan: Basic (free), Standard, Plus, or Premium
4. Select your use case: Business, Education, or Personal
5. You'll be taken to your Prezi dashboard

Interface Overview

The Prezi editor has three main areas:

Creating Your First Presentation with AI

The fastest way to get started is using Prezi's AI generator:

1. From your dashboard, click Create new presentation
2. Select Create with AI
3. Enter a title and description for your presentation (e.g., "Introduction to Renewable Energy for a high school class")
4. Choose the number of topics (3-10)
5. Select a template style or let AI choose
6. Click Generate and wait a few seconds
7. Review the generated structure and content - edit as needed

Understanding the Zoom Structure

Prezi's content is organized in a three-level hierarchy:

Using Templates

Prezi offers hundreds of templates organized by category:

• Business: Pitch decks, sales presentations, quarterly reviews, project proposals
• Education: Lesson plans, lectures, student projects, research presentations
• Marketing: Product launches, social media plans, brand strategy
• Creative: Portfolio showcases, storytelling, event planning

Select a template from the gallery, then replace the placeholder content with your own text, images, and data.

Importing from PowerPoint

Already have slides in PowerPoint? You can convert them to Prezi:

1. Click Create new presentation → Import from PowerPoint
2. Upload your .pptx file
3. Prezi converts each slide into a topic on the canvas
4. Rearrange topics and add zoom transitions as needed
5. Customize the design to take advantage of Prezi's spatial layout

Navigation and Editing Basics

• Zoom: Scroll wheel or pinch to zoom in/out on the canvas
• Pan: Click and drag on empty space to move around
• Select: Click on any element to select it; drag to reposition
• Edit text: Double-click on any text to start editing
• Add content: Use the Insert menu or the + button on the toolbar
• Present: Click the Present button or press F5 to start presenting
• Undo/Redo: Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y (or Cmd on Mac)
