Counting notes: X counts every URL as exactly 23 characters (its t.co wrapper) regardless of real length, and most emoji and CJK characters count as 2; the X card above applies both rules. Other platforms count plain characters, but many emoji are made of several Unicode code points (skin tones, flags, families), so an emoji-heavy post can consume limits faster than it looks. The fold positions shown (~210 characters on LinkedIn, ~125 on Instagram) are approximate and vary by device and line breaks. Limits are as of July 2026; platforms change them, so check the platform if you are right at the edge.
